A design that combines all my passions!
When I make stuff for Etsy, I often design things I want for myself but cannot find anywhere else.
This design features
- Twelve animals with their names in both Lenca and Spanish
- Animals are my unique cartoon style from my Pollito and Jose comics.
- The design is inspired by the Mayan codex with the other element inspired by ancient Lenca pottery found in Quelepa, San Miguel, El Salvador
Why I love it!
- My own drawing style for the animals.
- My Love of history, especially when it involves my own heritage.
- My interest in linguistics; was fascinating reading the late Allen R. King's linguistic work on reviving the Lenca languages in both Honduras and El Salvador.
